The company Hormes was founded in Dortmund in 1936 by
the engineer Wilhelm Hormes. Later the production place was
moved to Essen/Oldenburg. After the confusions of World War II
the Coca Cola Company was one of the first most important
customers. In the sixties the company was put in the hands of
the 2nd generation. A permanent expansion of the business led
to extensions on the production sector in the seventies. Mid of
the nineties the 3rd generation took over the management.
Permanently rising demands to the capacity of the machines
made an enlargement of the production space necessary in
1997. In the same year the subsidiary Ohrter Getränkemaschinen
Handel was founded and thus company Hormes enlarged their
delivery range by the trade with used machines. Since the
foundation of company Hormes the demands of our customers
have been the centre of our doing. Also in the future steadily
changing demands of our customers will call for permanent
investments in the production process.
