High Pressure Injection (HPI)

[ back to choices ]
The oxygen in the bottle neck has negative effects on the product's quality and needs to be removed before closing the bottle. This is done by the HPI system. The injection of water under high pressure causes over-foaming - thus the air is pushed out of the bottle neck. The functioning is very simple: A gear pump pushes cold water with an adjusted pressure into the heating tank. There the water is heated up to an adjustable temperature. Then the hot water gets into the bottle neck through a fine nozzle. The injection pressure and the temperature are entered on the display at the switch cabinet door. The HPI receives a signal from the filler and regulates the speed of the pump motor by a frequency inverter and thus also the pressure. The media (water) arrives with a pressure of approx. 4 bar at the connection of the high-pressure injection installation, in the following shortly called HPI. Via the conduct the water arrives to the pump which is driven by a motor. By this pump the water is impinged with an adjustable primary pressure which can be read on the pressure indication. The water impinged with pressure is conducted to the heating tank by a conduit. In the heating tank the water is heated up to the preliminarily adjusted temperature. Via a flexible tube the heated water arrives at the opened magnetic valve and at the spray nozzle. There a thin water stream is jetted with high pressure into the filled bottle in order to produce a fine-pored foam in the bottle neck to achieve the most low air values. The injection pressure has to be chosen in dependence of temperature and CO2 content of the drink. Installation and commissioning are, of course, also included in our scope of service.
