Hormes palletising systems offer numerous options for loading and unloading pallets quickly and carefully. Depending on your requirements, both reusable containers and single-use packaging such as cartons, trays or shrink-wrapped products can be handled efficiently. Our pusher series enables the fully automated unloading of both single-use and reusable containers, ensuring smooth, efficient operations. For lower output systems, Hormes also provides manual handling solutions that offer a cost-effective and flexible alternative to automation.
The Hormes linear palletiser series has been specifically developed for medium- to high-capacity systems and stands out thanks to its compact design, requiring minimal space both in height and footprint. Equipped with powerful servo motors, the machine delivers dynamic movement with minimal mechanical stress, ensuring an especially energy-efficient drive system. For added convenience, the palletiser can be optionally fitted with a combination palletising head, eliminating the need for retooling.
Advantages of the Hormes linear palletiser series:
Based on the linear palletiser series, Hormes also offers fully automated sweep-off depalletiser for medium- to high-capacity systems. These machines enable layer-by-layer pushing of new glass bottles, cans or PET bottles, while an additional securing module ensures excellent stability of the palletised containers. The integrated layer pad handling system sorts top covers and layer pads into the designated magazines as required.
Advantages of sweep-off depalletisers:
In addition to fully automated sweep-off depalletisers, Hormes also offers manual container lifters, ideal for low-capacity systems or for feeding high-capacity filling lines. These lifters allow operators to depalletise containers layer by layer and transfer them to the container conveyor. An electric lifting mechanism with a mounting frame ensures ergonomic operation. Depending on container type and operator efficiency, throughput rates of up to 14,000 containers per hour can be achieved.
Advantages of Hormes container lifters:
In addition to new machines, Hormes also offers specialised retrofit solutions for palletising technology. At our facility, we upgrade selected machine series from manufacturers such as Krones and Kettner. This includes replacing all spare and wear parts as well as equipping machines with new format-specific components tailored to your needs. We also integrate state-of-the-art control systems as well as safety and automation technology to maximise the efficiency and performance of your equipment.
Advantages of Hormes retrofit solutions:
Hormes robotic palletiser offer maximum flexibility for a wide range of palletising tasks. Depending on the size and configuration of the robot, both individual packages and entire layers can be palletised efficiently. The robots’ large, adaptable working area allows them to operate multiple palletising stations simultaneously. Various tool attachments, such as shutter heads, gripper heads, suction grippers or combination grippers can be used to meet specific application needs.
Advantages of Hormes robotic solutions:
Ensuring high-quality pallets is crucial for efficient palletising processes. Damaged pallets can lead to significant costs and risks, particularly when storing goods in high-bay warehouses or during transport. Hormes offers specialised pallet inspection systems that check empty pallets for various defects, including deck boards, stringers, width conformity and block integrity. Additionally, pallets can be cleaned with a brush and smoothed using a pallet roller to remove protruding elements.
Advantages of Hormes pallet inspection:
Pallet magazines are essential for fully automated palletising systems. They serve as an intermediate storage solution for empty pallets, facilitating both stacking and unstacking. The Hormes pallet magazines can be easily adjusted to accommodate different pallet types and flexibly adapted for seamless integration into existing systems.
Advantages of Hormes pallet magazines:
New container pallets are separated by layer pads and secured with top covers. When depalletising these pallets, the layer pads and top covers must be removed and placed into designated magazines. When loading pallets with single-use packaging such as trays or flexible packaging, layer pads are often required to ensure gentle palletising. For both processes, Hormes provides the ideal solution with its flexible layer pad handling system.
Advantages of the Hormes layer pad handling system:
To efficiently supply or remove layer pads and top covers for multiple palletising machines, Hormes offers a portal-based layer pad handling system. This system allows materials to be conveniently placed or retrieved at a central point, simplifying operation and reducing conveying distances, especially when multiple systems are running in parallel.
Advantages of the Hormes portal system:
Hormes provides multiple pallet loading and unloading solutions to create an efficient interface between automated pallet transport and forklift operations. The Hormes pallet unloader prepares pallets for removal in 4- or 6-stack configurations, while the pallet loader accepts 4- or 6-stack pallet blocks, separates them and feeds them into the automated pallet conveyor system.
